Spurs Knock Out Homers!

- Denver Coliseum - Denver, Colorado

The Spurs made it 9 in a row and a 10 game unbeaten streak in a lopsided 10-3 victory over the Springfield Homers. Home cooking indeed!
Keith Tkachuk posted 4 goals, Vinny Lecavalier 2 goals and 4 assists and Marian Hossa 5 assists!
It was an amazing performance and unfortunately former Spurs' netminder Peter Budaj was on the receiving end of the lopsided score. Peter faced 48 shots from his former 'mates in making 38 saves. Peter Budaj has seen better days for sure.
Adding to Budaj's misery were port sider Ponikarovsky with 2 goals and 1 assist, Parrish with 1 goal and 2 assists, with linemate and Captain Joe Sakic chipping in with 2 assists.
Blueliner John-Michael Liles scored the 10th Spurs goal of the game late in the 3rd on a questionable call.
Questionable because the scorekeeper listed it as a power play tally giving the Spurs 4 power play goals in 3 power play attempts.
Not sure how the offiical scorekeeper came up with that.
The league office and Spurs' management are investigating.
Goals for the Homers were scored by Plekanec, Zubrus and Vyborny with former Spur Chris Kunitz notching an assist against his former team.
Next up for the Spurs in a couple of days are the division rival Beverly Hill Lawmasters here at the Coliseum in Denver. The Spurs hope to extend their win streak to 10 games surpassing their previous high streak of 9 games this season.
